Promoting sustainability through a Repair Cafe

August 29th 2024 marked the opening of the 1st Repair Cafe facility at the Reuse Centre in Slovenske Konjice, which featured inspiring speakers: Janja Ribič, from the ministry of the environment, climate and energy, Katja Sreš, the president, public relations of 'Ecologists without borders' and Aleš Brglez, director of JKP Slovenske Konjice. ORZ organized  also organized different interactive workshops, including creating jewelry out of e-waste such as rings and necklaces, thus promoting reuse and sustainability.

Later on in the day, a group of Erasmus students came to participate in workshops, where everyone had the opportunity to create their own jewelry and participate in other activities such as creating art out of old picture frames. The students expressed great interest in making something new out of electronics.
