University of Patras hosted the second visit to Patras

The Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy welcomed the project team to explain their research focus areas. Dr. Fotini Lamari, the Laboratory Director, led the group during the visit. She provided an introduction that specifically addressed gender and equality challenges within the department and laboratory, as well as broader scientific and pharmacological contexts.

Throughout the study visit, the project partners engaged in discussions with the team, making it a day of constant dialogue. The laboratory, fully operational during the visit, captured the attention of the WeSTEMEU project members. They took advantage of each presentation to share their comments and raise questions.

Notably, the laboratory team has a significant presence of women working there, as observed by the visiting delegation. This visit also marked the conclusion of two intense days of discussions, knowledge exchange about the reality in Patras and Greece, and interregional collaboration among all the participating representatives.
