A side program was the Science Café, in which scientists from the field of sustainability were able to present their work. In the evening, the winners were presented with trophies and awarded the title Sustainability Star 2023 at a gala ceremony.

Among the awarded projects were, for example, a floating solar-power plant on the reservoir of a hydroelectric plant, emission-free delivery in city centers, a prevention program for the resilience of the landscape against floods, the reduction of plastics in the assortment of a retail chain, and a deposit system for bottles and cans.
