3rd Kainuu Stakeholder Meeting & Local Thematic Workshop

Kainuu stakeholders met for the 3rd Shareholder Meeting and a local thematic workshop on April 23rd via Teams. Before the meeting, the second online networking coffee of Kainuu culture took place, where the stakeholders reviewed the common digital event calendar of Kainuu. 

The stakeholder meeting covered many topics: Local practices of Kainuu were presented and discussed, as were some examples from the CHERRY project partners' good practices. A local tour was discussed, and the Municipality of Suomussalmi was selected as the destination, as Suomussalmi provides interesting military and cultural history destinations and information about cultural event arrangements.

Since Interreg Europe projects are designed to improve policy instruments, it was essential to discuss with stakeholders that the preparation of the new Kainuu Regional Programme has started. A stakeholder survey was conducted for preparation. The planning documents (the work plan, the participant engagement plan, and the evaluation plan) were made available online for comments by May 16th, 2024. Also, workshops regarding the cultural field related to the Regional Programme were arranged.
