Citizen participation in territorial governance processes

Ecological Networks and Cultural Itineraries as a driving force for Community Development and Resilience

So as to create a shared and living cultural heritage in perfect symbiosis with the biodiversity of the places.

Organized by <MCR2030 Resilience HUB, European Policies Aggregrate Desk (SAPE) and by the Province of Potenza>.

A Resilient community is a community that knows and values the development of its own history, culture, traditions, as well as the value of the environment with its ecosystems.

The knowledge of one's own history is the foundation of a community, in fact, a people disappears when it loses its identity and traditions.

It is therefore necessary to consider cultural identity not only as a human right but rather as a prerogative of sustainable development, as a factor of reconciliation and as an essential condition to guarantee peace and respect for cultural diversity.

The program of events organized by the MCR2030 Resilience HUB of the Province of Potenza from the 13th to 16th of July, is part of the complex process of citizen participation in the governance of biodiversity and the territory, which is the primary objective of Cibiogo and, it was designed with the specific aim of raising awareness in the territory on the importance of safeguarding the cultural identity as a prerogative of peace and sustainable development and to correlate it with the protection and enhancement of habitats, ecological networks and the territory.

It is part of a series of initiatives that are being conducted on the theme of the rediscovery and enhancement of the historical-cultural and environmental identity of the Lucanian territory.
