Meet our Partners - Rijkswaterstaat
In each edition of our newsletter, we will spotlight one of our esteemed partners. This month, we are proud to introduce our lead partner, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management – Rijkswaterstaat (RWS).
RWS is at the forefront of the Circular Minds project, with a robust commitment to sustainable development and circular economy principles, RWS plays a pivotal role in managing the country's extensive infrastructure network, including roads, waterways, and water systems. Their expertise in integrating circular practices within public procurement and infrastructure projects makes them an invaluable leader.
As the lead partner, RWS brings over a decade of expertise in sustainable development and circular practices. By leveraging its extensive experience, RWS plays a crucial role in facilitating and organising project activities, ensuring that best practices are shared effectively. Through this project, it also aims to deepen its understanding of how to support diverse organisations in adopting circular procurement practices. Joan Prummel, Circular Economy Advisor at RWS, highlighted that “understanding these regional differences is essential, as being among the frontrunners comes with the responsibility to share and support.” Through the project RWS will be better equipped to tailor its support its partners, whether they come from Central and Eastern Europe or the Scandinavian, adapting to the unique contexts and challenges faced by each region.
If you want to learn more about the other project partners, keep an eye out on our website, where we will be introducing them.
