RDFCM, perceiving the importance of circular economy and posing its implementation as one of the priorities, participates in both Training and Certification events. RDFCM participated in the 1st co-design workshop (18-10-2023) and the 2nd co-design workshop (07-11-2023) on training in bio-economy of the BioGov.Net (Governance and Upskilling for a Stronger Bioeconomy) / HORIZON EUROPE project discussing on training needs in bioeconomy and gaining valuable insights for the CITISYSTEM project, and in the 2nd Stakeholders’ Event in Greece (23-10-2023) that was organized by the BioReCer (Biological Resources Certifications Scheme) / HORIZON project, discussing on Biological Resources Certifications, material flow analysis (MFA) and management of waste (water) streams of the four different case studies (i.e. forestry, agriculture, municipal waste, fish canning industry). The first target is the preparation of the Agro-Food Waste Management Plan of the Alliance, which is going to provide valuable knowledge and practices for the CITISYSTEM project.
On 06-10-2023 RDFCM welcomed students from the Faculty of Engineering / School of Architecture and Landscape, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and the Institute of Environmental Planning, Hannover in a field trip in the framework of the “Centers for the Future” project, presenting among others the CITISYSTEM project, exploring together challenges and opportunities for the sustainable development of city centers and metropolitan areas.
