1st Stakeholder Meeting in City of Brussels

The City of Brussels has officially adopted its first flood emergency plan (PPUI inundation) to combat the growing risks of climate change and urban density.
In line with these efforts, the city recently convened its inaugural stakeholder meeting, which brought together key representatives from the fire department, police, emergency health services, and the city’s emergency planning team.
This collaborative gathering underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation in tackling flood management. As a result of these discussions, a dedicated task force has been established to focus on detailed infrastructure risk mapping, which will enhance the city’s ability to identify vulnerable areas and implement targeted interventions.
