DEBUTING to meet next week in Gdańsk
Next week it will be time for yet another interregional DEBUTING meeting, this time hosted in Gdańsk by our partner Pomorskie Voivodeship. The Pomorskie region has more than two million inhabitants in the north of Poland. The three cities of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia form a unique urban structure in Poland; this “Tricity” is considered as the best work-life balance location in Poland. The combination of the office environment, countless number of cultural and sports attractions, as well as the diversity of residential spaces make the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship together with its sister cities very often chosen by Polish and foreign investors for the development of business activities.
The programme of our visit consists of two intensive days where we will get to know this unique region with a special focus on gender equality, including the regional Gender Equality Plan of Pomorskie. We will also deep dive into good practices on the field from the region, including:
- Clusters meet Gender – insights from Baltic Sea and Space Cluster and National Key ICT Cluster ‘Interizon’
- Voivodeship Labor Office of Pomorskie
- Incubator STARTER
- Pomorskie Woman Council with best practice of Rumia Municipality
In addition, good practices from other DEBUTING regions will be presented:
- Equality and parity strategy and implementation at Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Finland
- Northern Transylvania Clusters Consortium, Romania
- DEBUTING added value in ART-ER activities and relations with the regional ecosystem, Italy
Two workshops will take place within the meeting; one on Pomorskie Smart Specialisation and another on cybersecurity. The group will also work in two focus groups, one on gender value creation practices and another on gender budgeting. The work of the latter was already started in the previous interregional DEBUTING meeting and will now continue from there. In addition to all of this DEBUTING Steering Committee will take place, enabling discussions for the next steps in the project to best advance the interregional cooperation.
