Gender Equality Certification Interests in Emilia-Romagna

Gender equality is taking up more and more space in Emilia-Romagna. The Region is already very active in various sectors: new calls, regulations and actions are emerging. This is also thanks to DEBUTING partner ART-ER's work in sharing knowledge, ideas and good practices through the Debuting project.

The hot topic is SMEs’ certification of gender equality as an opportunity for innovation, growth but also for reputation and economic and fiscal advantages. The reference is the practice UNI/PdR 125:2022 that aims to initiate systemic paths of cultural change in organizations towards gender equity. The practice was born as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan connected to the National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2025 and consistent with the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025.

Businesses are gaining awareness and knowledge, but they need practical support on how to take action. Therefore, the Clusters together with ART-ER are organizing actions and a dedicated workshop to be held within 2024. In this scenario, ART-ER and the Clusters are playing as value multipliers at regional and also European level participating in various external initiatives and events such as the EU Clust-er Conference and Agorada 2024.
