South-Muntenia RDA had 1st Regional Stakeholder Meeting
The event took place at the agency's headquarters and brought together representatives of local public authorities and experts from the Romanian partner - SMRDA. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an overview of the project and to discuss the activities carried out so far, as well as examples of international good practices in the field of the circular economy.
Among the topics discussed were the initiatives in the city of Thessaloniki related to circular design and innovative services offered to citizens and product designers, examples of good practices that were presented during a previous study visit to Greece. The objectives of the DESICE project aim to improve regional and local policies and also increase the capacity of designers to integrate the circular economy into their creative processes, with a focus on the use of sustainable materials and the design of products with an extended life cycle.
The meeting represented an important step in creating a constructive dialogue between regional actors in order to stimulate the development of a sustainable circular economy.
