DETOCS First Regional Stakeholders Meeting - Hungary

The CDDA, Central Danube Development Agency Nonprofit Ltd., organised its first stakeholder meeting on the 30th of August 2023 in Budapest, Hungary.


In the meeting, with the help of the participating professional organisations – the Agency:

  • introduced the DETOCS project to the stakeholders;
  • identified political, economic, legal, social, natural and technological challenges and problems hindering the decarbonisation of the tourism sector;
  • got to know the good examples in the region.

 

The event consisted of two main parts. During the first part, professional presentations were held by experts as thought provoking such as:

  • Energy-saving solutions based on the "Green Hotel" applications;
  • Environmentally friendly operation of thermal spas;
  • Energy improvements from a contractor's perspective;
  • The potential of tourism in virtual reality. 

The second part was about a roundtable discussion among the stakeholders and the experts of the field of tourism, virtual tourism and energy efficiency.


The main stakeholders involved:

Hungarian Baths Association, Hungarian Hotel & Restaurant Association, Hungarian HealthTourism Association, Fejér County, Bács-Kiskun County, Tolna County, Municipality of Tamási, Municipality of Szekszárd, Municipality of Kalocsa, Kőrösszolg Nonprofit Ltd. representing the Municipality of Kiskőrös, Jankovich Hotel (winner of the "Green Hotel" award).
