Every year Interreg Europe Program organizes one of the biggest events in Europe to celebrate the Interregional Cooperation. This year, the annual forum was held in Krakow, Poland. During two days, participants were able to attend inspiring sessions conducted by JS and other speakers, meet Interreg Europe Experts, join study visits and thematic seminars, and of course, there was time for networking!

Eixo Atlántico as the lead partners of EDIN had the opportunity to present the project to other participants during the networking sessions. On one hand, it was interesting to see how Digital Nomads phenomenon is being addressed in other different regions and knowing about potential Good Practices in other European territories. On the other hand, representatives from regions with less experience with this concept expressed their interest in following our project to learn more about it: So yes, exchange of experience also happened during the event!

Even the JS announces that it will not be more call of proposals since the programs has already committed its funds for this period 2021-2027, we are still able to take advantage of the program benefits thanks to its policy platform, which celebrated its 10 years old during the event. EDIN partners are already starting to explore its advantages. Here you have some of them:

  • Helpdesk: The platform offers a really interesting and friendly-user helpdesk. Thanks to this service, you can discuss a topic with an expert. Are your region facing a challenge and you need ideas or feedback to address it an effective way? This dynamic and service might be for you.
  • Matchmaking: Public authorities as platform users can get inspiration from good practices across Europe during a two-hour exchange with peers.
  • Webinars: The platform also organizes webinars about topic in the frame of the program priorities.
  • Peer reviews: Public authorities can receive tailored feedback to your specific challenge from selected peers during a two-day in-depth workshop.
  • GP database: The database gathered projects GP which might be inspiring as solution for your regional challenges or it might offer inspiration for future projects.
  • Policy briefs: Thanks to these reports, you will have the opportunity to read in-depth expert analyses and find inspiration for new solutions for regional challenges.

As we can see, Interreg Europe is not only about funding and managing projects. It’s mainly about capacity building and creating a space for exchange of experiences to get inspired and find solutions are also a very important part and of the program. Let’s take profit of the opportunity, let’s cooperate!
