EMBRACER at the Storytelling training workshop - 2° part
On 16 October, EMBRACER took part in the second and final part of the online workshop on "Storytelling training" organized by Interreg Europe.
Crafting simple and relatable communication is never obvious, especially when talking about more complex subjects. It's easy and common to get lost in technical jargon, long paragraphs and too much information.
However, it's important to communicate clearly and effectively about your project's activities and achievements, not only to your peers but also to a wider audience.
The first part of the workshop, held on 11 September, was an introduction to storytelling, a four-hour online workshop to learn the fundamentals of storytelling. EMBRACER had the great chance to practice on the project and learn to apply a specific method to various communication tools, focusing on the Curse of Knowledge, a cognitive bias where an individual assumes that others have the background knowledge to understand.
During the second part of the workshop, a further four hours training, EMBRACER went through practical exercises to improve the communication skills, by learning a systematic technique, to make information factual and appealing.
The trainer was Charlélie Jourdan, consultant and trainer, a very inspiring one!
