Project summary
Eno-Culinary Heritage should be preserved and promoted, as it provides a solid basis for the development of Experiential and Sustainable Cultural Tourism in terms of Wine and Gastronomy Tourism (WGT), in European wine-growing and agricultural regions. WGT is an industry, when tourist may visit a destination, and enjoy wine and food experiences, which is unique to them. WGT have witnessed a significant growth in the recent past and has open gates for development.
Gastronomy Tourism is characterised by the visitor’s experience linked with food and related products. Along with authentic, traditional, and/or innovative culinary experiences, it may also involve other related activities such as visiting the local producers, participating in food festivals and attending cooking classes. Eno-Tourism is about visiting vineyards, wineries, tasting, learning, consuming and/or purchasing wine, often at or near the source.
