First stakeholder meeting in France

The Paris Climate Agency (APC) team presented the EXPRESS project to the main stakeholders:

  • City of Paris
  • French Agency for Ecological Transition in Île-de-France region
  • Enedis (manager of the electricity distribution network)
  • CPCU (manager of the heating network for the City of Paris)
  • the Greater Paris Metropolis (urban inter-municipality of Paris region)
  • Energie Partagée (agency that helps to pool energy production projects)
  • The Paris Urbanism Agency
  • two local energy and climate agencies like Paris Climate Agency (from east and west of the Greater Paris Metropolis)
  • and the Greater Paris Climate Agency (a new actor Greater Paris Metropolis associate to the local energy and climate agencies).

The presentation of the work carried out by the Paris Climate Agency as part of the EXPRESS project provided an opportunity for useful discussions and led to an analysis of the area. This allows Paris Climate Agency team to initiate new actions.

We presented the project and its organisation, as well as the work underway:

  • work done for the City of Paris on developing the heating network.
  • analysis to determine the potential for producing electricity using solar panels. An example of a co-ownership wishing to launch a project to install solar panels was presented.

Feedback has been very positive for the two projects, particularly from the City of Paris, which is keen to keep a close eye on the progress of the EXPRESS project. In addition, CPCU and The French Agency for Ecological Transition have given us some ideas for identifying potential connections to the heating network in more detail.

The next stakeholder meeting will take place in early 2024.
