Hungary | Advancing Energy Solutions in HBG

The 3rd stakeholder meeting held online on 26 June 2024 brought together the core members of the regional stakeholder group: university experts, NGOs, sectoral agencies, IT sector representatives and municipality decision makers reviewed the EXPRESS project progress, highlighting the deeper understanding of good practices learned so far and the main outcomes of the project events. Following the overview of the study visit in Paris, the good practices shared by the partnership were presented with special focus on the solutions applied by the French partner institution. Getting back to the upcoming activities, participants exchanged views on the existing frames of energy communities in national and regional context, discussing the basics of the first energy community in Hajdú-Bihar.

So beyond the development of an overall Policy Guide, the focus is on the potential adaptation of the ENERSIG and CoachCoPro solutions of the partners from Paris, with special regard to the increasing energy demand of Hajdú-Bihar County. Stakeholders agreed to refine the ideas during bilateral discussions. The indicative date for the next stakeholder meeting was set for autumn/winter 2024.
