Hungary | Regional Stakeholder Meeting Recap
The participants of the regional stakeholder group meeting held on 6 December 2023 included the municipalities of the county, energy experts, university researchers, professionals active in the field of urban planning and development, energy agency and NGOs. After a brief overview of the project, the participants were informed about the results of the partner meetings and study visits to Finland (Joensuu) in June, Poland (Rzeszow) in October and Ireland (Kilkenny) in November.
Regarding the actions of Hajdú-Bihar County Government in the project, it was agreed that it should focus on partnership, transfer and promotion of the "joint approach and thinking" represented by international and national professional partners, activities to help transform and optimise the regulatory environment and access to financial support.
Following the technical discussion, the participants agreed that the most important task of the EXPRESS project is to bring international good practices that are truly relevant and locally applicable to the communities of the county and to facilitate the development of a professionally and financially supportive, transparent and predictable ecosystem.
