HERCULES PROJECT S2

HERCULES will enable seven partner regions to increase their habilities related to personalized, patient centered medicine and to improve their policy instruments to achieve a higher level of innovation on their health care systems. This will all be done via the exchange of good practices and innovative solutions. Our partners will analyze and overcome the main barriers identified while helping and supporting each other to do the same. This will help decisively to universalize the learning across EU regions and maintain Europe among the most innovative health regions in the world.

SECOND SEMESTER

This semester our partners have done the following activities:

International Learning Event in GREECE

The HERCULES Interreg Europe project held a successful 2nd Interregional Learning Event in Athens, hosted by the Regional Development Fund of Attica.

During this event the partners had the opportunity to present examples of good practices and demand-led healthcare innovation, as well as perspectives on improving healthcare access and quality. They also continued working on the project methodology and participated on a round table about the same.

The Regional Development Fund of Attica also used this opportunity to present the COHES.io project (Connected Health Ecosystems via Open Innovation).

Storytelling training for second call projects: Part 1

The Interreg Europe programme organised Storytelling training for projects approved under its second call for proposals. This training consisted of several components designed to improve communication skills spread over different days.

The Interreg Europe Programme organised two workshops: The first workshop, entitled ‘An introduction to storytelling’ was held on 6 February 2025 and focused on understanding the basics of storytelling and how to apply them in project communication. The second workshop, held on 27 February 2025, ‘Producing your communication material’, provided practical advice on creating effective content, including video production, using the techniques learned in the first session.

ACIS, as lead partner in the HERCULES project had the opportunity to join this training and used this knowledge to create an atractive project summary in a language that is understandable by everyone.

11th edition of Europe, let's cooperate!

The Axencia Galega de Coñecemento en Saúde (ACIS), coordinating entity of the HERCULES project, participated in the online version of the 11th edition of Europe, let's cooperate! held on 19 and 20 March 2025 in Krakow, Poland.

This event, organised by the Interreg Europe programme, commemorated the 11th anniversary of the Policy Learning Platform. During the forum, various activities took place, including plenary sessions, interactive workshops and study visits. These activities offered participants the opportunity to explore the services of the Policy Learning Platform, share policy challenges and experiences, and network with representatives from regions across Europe.

NEXT STEPS

The third semester will be focused on continuing the good practice detection and exchange. This semester we will also hold another Interregional Learning Event in Denmark, hosted by the Municipality of Aarhus (AAKS).

At this event, the partners will have the opportunity to further explain their good practices in the thematic areas of structural barriers: resources, staff experience and incentives for innovation in HC.
