Second International Learning Event celebrated in Greece

The HERCULES Interreg Europe project held a successful 2nd Interregional Learning Event in Athens, hosted by the Regional Development Fund of Attica. This event gathered the 7 partner regions and organisations: Galician Health Knowledge Agency (ACIS), University of Twente (Netherlands), Regional Development Fund of Attica (Greece), Municipality of Aarhus (Denmark), Västerbotten Region (Sweden), Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy), and St Jadwiga of Silesia Hospital in Trzebnica (Poland), a consortium representing all public administrations cultures in Europe, and diverse policy instruments and levels of public procurement in person-centred care and support / personalised medicine capability.

Key takeaways of the event included: Practical examples and good practices of demand-led healthcare innovation, Regional perspectives on improving healthcare access and quality, Networking opportunities, impactful, sustainable examples across Europe.

A few highlights of the 2-day workshop: Updates on the project’s methodological approach, Template & Content of the Analysis of the health ecosystems by the Lead partner and the University of Twente, Smart Specialization Strategy of Attica and Digital Health Systems, Introduction of the COHES.io project (Connected Health Ecosystems via Open Innovation), Round table discussion on Good Practises evaluation model, followed by the Steering Committee meeting with discussion on management, dissemination, improvements and next steps.

Through initiatives such as this, the HERCULES project demonstrates its commitment to strengthening regional healthcare collaboration, empowering communities, and enhancing health outcomes across Europe.
