Local and regional stakeholders of the Guldborgsund Municipality met for the first time on 19 September. They discussed several problems regarding the use of more recycled materials in future buildings.

Guldborgsund Municipality's center manager for Technology and the Environment talked about Guldborgsund Municipality's politically approved climate plan and how the municipality will work with the green transition.

Participants hear about the experience of one of the stakeholders, Annica Flade from Recycon. Recycon works with 100% recycled materials as additives for their concrete. The materials can be anything from brick, concrete, aerated concrete and much more. But, as Annica Flade highlighted, it is difficult to get enough recycled materials because of the extra money needed for sorting the recycled materials.

Another point of discussion was the actual dismantling of existing buildings. Participants noted that the demolisher needs to be on the ground somewhat earlier when discussing the dismantling of a building. This must help to ensure early sorting and securing of the recycled materials and a mapping of what the materials can be used for when recycled.

The next meeting of Guldborgsund stakeholders is planned for 6 December and will be joined also by national stakeholders.
