Enhancing stakeholder involvement in Bucharest-Ilfov Region

The Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency convened its second meeting with regional stakeholders on February 29th 2024. The event was organized in Bucharest at the Radisson Hotel and brought together a number of 29 participants – representatives of public and private organizations that either have a financing component intended for SMEs, or represent organizations designed to support the business environment.

In this context the meeting started with a presentation of BIRDA’s responsibilities especially related to the Policy Instrument targeted by InnoCom – the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Programme 2021-2027, then were presented to the audience some characteristics of the Interreg Europe Programme and details about the InnoCom project – objectives, partnership, specific activities and outcomes.

The second part of the meeting was extensively dedicated to present and discuss the conclusions drawn from the responses given to the survey regarding SMEs’ financing processes in our Region, emphasizing companies’ needs in terms of development of their competitiveness.

Moreover, on this occasion two important stakeholders (The National Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises & The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism) shared inspirational models from their organizations on how to collaborate and support SMEs for enhancing their competitiveness.

The event was also a very good occasion for the participating specialists and experts to discuss and share experiences regarding the interaction with the authorities that manage important funds aiming SMEs and specific results of the process.
