Irish Stakeholder Meeting Held
The InnoCom Stakeholder Group met on 7th November 2023 at the Local Enterprise Offices in Carlow for a dynamic and informative gathering, demonstrating the power of collaboration within our community.
The forthcoming Interregional Exchange Meeting hosted by partner Hauts-de-France Region in early 2024 was discussed. The meeting presents a unique opportunity for stakeholders to connect with international counterparts, explore potential collaborations, and gain insights.
An initial conversation was held in respect of the expected visit by the InnoCom partnership to Ireland in 2024, with some great ideas of how the local stakeholders can bring a different experience to the InnoCom partners.
During the meeting, the group delved into the progress of our regional analysis document, good practice templates and the engagement of experts. The discussions were illuminating, with participants sharing valuable insights and findings. It reinforced the belief that by working together and pooling our expertise, we can drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and make a tangible impact in our field.
A formal presentation is part of each meeting and on this occasion a presentation on engagement of the Tourism sector by Eileen O’Rourke of Carlow Tourism was made to the group, covering a variety of projects including Leader funded communication projects.
As part of this presentation the use of video was discussed. The group concurs that video as a tool for business information is not just a medium; it's a powerful information tool that transforms how businesses connect, communicate, and captivate their audience, turning data into dynamic and memorable experiences.
For the next meeting the group decided to discuss AI and how EU policy is supporting SMEs around the development of solutions for AI while also looking at the area of SMART specialization in terms of data. It was agreed the world is changing and data-driven solutions merge with local wisdom to create vibrant, sustainable, and prosperous communities. The next meeting is scheduled for February 2024.
