The meeting was co-organized by two Slovenian partners, Izobraževalni center Geoss Litija and the Municipality of Litija. During the meeting, the project INVOLVIM was introduced. The session also featured a presentation of successful practices from Finland, shared as part of a recent study visit. These practices served as an inspiring example of how structured volunteer involvement can significantly enhance the integration process and support both the immigrants and the local community.

Stakeholders in attendance included the principal of Litija's primary school, representatives from the Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia for the Care and Integration of Migrants, the Center for Social Work Litija, the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovene Philanthropy, and Consulta. Each organization shared insights and discussed the challenges and opportunities in integrating work-based immigrants through volunteer initiatives.

The discussion emphasized the untapped potential of volunteers in easing the integration process, not only by providing essential support services but also by fostering a sense of belonging and community for new arrivals. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue exploring and implementing strategies that leverage the power of volunteering to build a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

This meeting marks a step forward in the collaborative effort to develop and implement effective integration programs, reflecting a shared vision of a more inclusive society. The insights and commitments made during this gathering will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing success of the project and the well-being of the community.
