Second meeting of the INVOLVIM Plock Local Stakeholders Group – 22 Oct. 2024

The organizations that took part in the meeting organized by the Płock City Hall team included:

• Municipal Police Headquarters in Płock,

• Municipal Guard,

• Municipal Labor Office in Płock,

• Municipal Social Welfare Center,

• Płock Center of Culture and Arts,

• Chamber of Commerce of the Płock Region,

• Stara Biała Minicipality,

• Przystanek Rodzina Foundation,

• Teen Challenge Christian Social Mission (Płock Branch).

The meeting was divided into 3 modules, devoted to different issues and thematic areas.

In the first part of the meeting, the Project Coordinatod conducted the SUPERPOWERS workshop, aimed at defining the most important capacities of each organization and its members- in the context of effective implementation of the INVOLVIM project assumptions. All Stakeholders expressed their thoughts on how the profile of the organizations they represent can contribute to preventing social exclusion or building support mechanisms for work-based immigrants.

The next part of the meeting was devoted to summarizing the study visit to Seinäjoki in Finland on June 18-19. The participants of the visit – project team members plus stakeholder group representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Przystanek Rodzina Foundation - presented the Stakeholders with good practices developed by the Project Leader (MONI-info, WIISE, SIMHE). After the presentation, the participants of the meeting took part in another workshop aimed at analyzing the possibilities of adaptation and implementation of the learned practices in Płock.

The third part of the meeting focused on the ongoing work aimed at updating the Sustainable Development Strategy of the City of Płock 2030. The participants analysed gathered from recent years data and statistics regarding work-based immigrants staying in Płock ( demography, areas of residence, employment, security issues).  The meeting ended with the Stakeholders completing an evaluation survey in which they could express their thoughts on the organization of the meeting and the quality of the information provided, as well as suggest how to improve the work of the project team or enlarge the stakeholder group.

The second INVOLVIM Local Stakeholders Meeting in Płock strengthened collaboration among local organizations to support work-based immigrants. Through workshops, shared practices from Finland, and strategic discussions, stakeholders reinforced their commitment to social inclusion and community support in Płock’s Sustainable Development Strategy 2030.
