5th Interregional Meeting – County Bergstrasse DE (Dec 2024)

The 5th interregional meeting, held on December 3rd to 5th, in County Bergstrasse, laid a solid foundation for the ongoing project with a series of working sessions, updates on current work, and insightful study visits.

KARMA's second workshop event (WG1) was a success!

KARMA’s first working group organized their second workshop event, promoting sustainable practices in construction and building restoration through the presentation of three local initiatives.

Suceava municipality received an EU mission label (Oct.2024)

On October 8th Suceava Municipality, partner of the KARMA project, received from the European Commission the Mission Label in the framework of the Mission " Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities - 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030"!

Inspiring brochure published by Circular Flanders (oct.24)

OVAM-circular Flanders, partner of the KARMA project, introduces tools for municipalities and cities pursuing or wanting to be introduced to circular construction through a newly published brochure.

A 2nd Stakeholder Meeting titled “Building the Future: Circular Economy and Construction. Municipal Sustainability Plans and Experiences – PAESC,” was organized by Eurokom on the 9th of July 2024

KARMA at Building Green Hamburg (June 2024)

On 19 and 20 June 2024 the Building Green event took place in Hamburg: A two-day event full of information about sustainable architecture and construction. KARMA was presented at one of the exhibition stands.

4th interregional KARMA meeting – Szombathely HU (May 2024)

Workshops, insights and exchange of experiences: The 4th interregional KARMA meeting – 28th to 29th May 2024 in Szombathely, Hungary – clearly demonstrated the potential of transnational knowledge transfer in the field of circular construction.

Local stakeholder meeting in County Bergstrasse (June 2024)

County Bergstrasse´s 4th stakeholder meeting took place on June, 4th 2024. This event allowed regional experts, to exchange on the importance of circularity in the construction sector through the presentation of different local initiatives.

KARMA presentations at Interreg event in Vienna (May 2024)

Promoting sustainable materials and circularity in construction was the focus of a workshop organised by the Interreg Europe policy Learning platform in Vienna on May 22nd 2024. Among the speakers were 2 representatives of the KARMA project.

Local stakeholder meeting in Suceava (Mar. 2024)

Suceava’s second local stakeholder meeting took place on the 29th of March 2024. It adressed the municipality’s situation regarding circular economy, but also gave stakeholders an opportunity to share ideas on how to best implement the project.

Circular construction in a circular economy is worthwhile for environmental reasons – but can it also bring financial benefits? This was one of the topics discussed by the Bergstraße partners, during their meeting on the 28th February 2024.

Third interregional project meeting in Calabria (Feb. 2024)

The 3rd interregional KARMA project meeting took place in the region of Calabria (Italy), were partners met on the 7th and 8th of February. This meeting was jointly organised by Eurokom Association (IT) and the Region of Calabria (IT).

Second interregional project meeting in Romania (Oct. 2023)

KARMA project partners met on the 17th and 18th of October in Suceava, Romania, for their second interregional meeting. This event organized by the municipality of Suceava, allowed the partners to exchange and witness some good practices.

Presentation of KARMA at the Day of German Unity (Oct. 2023)

On the 2nd of October, the KARMA project was introduced on the Green Stage of the "Festival of Unity". Over 700,000 people attended the traditional citizens' festival in Hamburg, which was organized in the city center.
