Export is an important issue for European regions due to several economic and strategic reasons. For instance, according to Eurostat, the export of goods and services constitutes a significant portion of the GDP for many EU countries. The aim of the European Union is to equalize the level of development of individual countries. The EU has one of the world's largest networks of trade agreements, which benefit regional economies by reducing trade barriers and opening up new markets. The project's contribution to the EU Cohesion policy will be to reduce development inequalities between regions and promote economic convergence. The implementation of the project will strengthen the areas in which individual regions specialize.
