4th LEEWAY Interregional Meeting

From 1st to 3rd April, Poland will host the 4th LEEWAY Interregional Meeting. Participants will attend a conference open to public all partners and stakeholders, focused on the Innovative Green Economy and will have the occasion to visit the micro-network site in Bytom (TAURON) and the Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park. On the last day there will be an Exchange workshop and Interregional Working Group to create a debate about green and energy transition.

This is the first functioning micro-grid system in Poland. TAURON has launched a micro-grid, i.e. a small power grid that allows for guaranteeing, even in extreme situations, the supply of electricity to recipients connected to it. The system launched in Bytom has wind power, photovoltaic panels, and a system-stabilizing energy storage and gas aggregator.
