The first peer review of the MILEstone project was a success!!! Project partners and stakeholders from Linköping, Postojna, Ungheni and Zhytomyr met more than 20 local stakeholders, employees from the Migration Agency and migrants within two intense days.

In the evening of the Monday, the project partners gathered in Naumburg for a preparation of the week and the discussions during dinner. The next day, partners had the opportunity to meet different key actors and employees of the Migration Agency in individual interviews after the coordinator of the building offered a guided tour through all floors and departments, so that everyone could experience from the perspective of a migrant how it is to come to the Migration Agency.

During the afternoon, peer reviewers were divided into groups, in order to visit external stakeholders situated in the cities of Zeitz and Klosterhäseler, such as the Ukrainian Center, the department of Structural Change and the company Henglein. All partners gathered then again in the evening at the Ukrainian Center in Zeitz for a joint exchange of knowledge gained throughout the day.

The Wednesday wasn´t less intense! In the morning new groups visited further stakeholders such as the Chamber of Commerce, consulting bodies and the company Heitzmann in the cities of Weißenfels and Zeitz. In the afternoon, the peer reviewers gathered again in the administration buildings in Naumburg to prepare a presentation with all new ideas and knowledge gained during the week and furthermore the recommendations they would give to the district of BLK, that could ease the process of the integration into the labour market.

On the Thursday, 17 of October, an event was organized with all peer reviewers, stakeholders and employees of the Migration Agency of the district of BLK. A total of 40 people participated in the event, which brought up very helpful, ideas, approaches and good practices to be transferred to the district.

All parts involved did an incredibly valuable work, thank you all!!!
