BOtanique 2024: eco-friendly festival in full swing
The BOtanique Festival is a summer event held in Bologna, located in the Gardens of Via Filippo Re, a charming and easily accessible venue offering a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. This year, the festival runs from 14 June to 20 July 2024. Organised by the Estragon Club, it features a series of live music concerts showcasing both national and international artists, ensuring a diverse and high-quality musical program.
In addition to music, the festival offers various activities such as yoga sessions, free visits to the Botanical Garden, and workshops for children. Entry to the evening events requires a EUR 10 card, providing affordable access to all activities.
The Botanique Festival is recognised for its eco-friendly initiatives:
- Plastic-Free Environment: The festival is entirely free of plastic, including a ban on bringing food and drinks from outside. Glasses are provided on deposit, minimising disposable products and waste.
- Sustainable Materials: Cups and tableware are made from paper or organic materials.
- Water Distribution: Water is dispensed through special refrigerated systems, eliminating the need for plastic bottles.
- No Use of Straws: Straws are not used at the festival, further reducing plastic consumption.
These initiatives significantly reduce the festival’s environmental impact while promoting sustainable practices.
