Getting around Krakow is easy due to its efficient public transport network and modern infrastructure. It’s advisable to use public transport over cars, even during congresses and conferences.

Krakow's public transport is among the most modern in Poland, serving about one million rides daily and 375 million annually. The fleet includes over 630 low-floor, air-conditioned buses and over 330 trams, nearly all of which are low-floor and air-conditioned.

Krakow offers a conference ticket allowing event participants to use public transport in ticket zones I, II, and III. This is a cost-effective solution, as a 4-day conference for 2,000 participants costs approximately 9 PLN (2 EUR) per delegate.

Event organisers must sign an agreement with Krakow’s Public Transport Authority (PTA) to purchase conference tickets. PTA, part of the Krakow Municipality, oversees public transport.

Example costs for up to 100 participants:

  • 1-day event: 300 PLN (70 EUR)
  • 2-day event: 580 PLN (135 EUR)
  • 3-day event: 810 PLN (190 EUR)
  • 4-day event: 1100 PLN (260 EUR)
  • Each additional day over 4: 200 PLN (45 EUR)

For groups larger than 100, the cost is calculated as a multiple of the base group with a 1% discount per 100 people, rounded to 1 PLN (0.25 EUR). For groups over 5,000, a 50% discount is applied.

The contract must be completed, including the design of the ID badge for event participants. It can be signed electronically by arrangement with PTA. After payment, the organiser receives a hologram ticket for the conference badge.

This solution helps minimise the carbon footprint of events!
