MINEV participated in the Circular Week, an international series of events dedicated to sustainable development and the circular economy, organised annually in Poland. This event aims to promote the concept of a closed-loop economy, support sustainable business models, and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

The week-long initiative dedicates each day to a different area of the circular economy, featuring panel discussions, workshops, and webinars exploring challenges and opportunities in specific sectors. Networking sessions, virtual and stationary trade fairs for circular companies, and round table sessions complement the diverse program.

The main objective of Circular Week is to educate about circular economy and sustainable development, promoting sustainable businesses and solutions. Emphasis is placed on showcasing the advantages of closing the loop and illustrating how sustainable consumption and production positively impact the environment, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Additionally, the event seeks to endorse effective, innovative, green solutions and systemic changes, fostering awareness, behavior change, and engagement in the circular transition.

Within the Circular Cities panel, dedicated to local government officials, representatives of Polish and European cities discussed challenges, opportunities, and the future of circular transformation. Among them was present Michał Gelata – MINEV project manager, who presented general information about the project as well as experiences and good practices learnt during the thematic seminars. Participants of the event were highly interested about project issues, which could be fruitful in the future. Municipality of Krakow was also one of the partners of the event.
