In the month of April, prior to the MINEV kick-off meeting held in Malaga, LIMASAM held its first meeting with the different interested parties in order to publicise it.

The main objective of the meeting was to present the different entities in the city that participate in the organisation and celebration of large events. And they apply or may apply good practices aimed at minimising waste, all of them representatives of different large sports, cultural or outdoor projects.

Raúl García Paine, general director of LIMASAM, conveyed to the participants the importance of their involvement and the interest of all the activities related to waste minimisation in the large events that the different entities may carry out, also providing context on the good practices that can be studied within the project.

Each participant introduced themselves, highlighting their interest in the topic and the role they played, and the different good practices developed in their entities were discussed.

During the meeting, general information about the MINEV project was presented, including the project partners, the main objective, the policy instrument addressed, the work plan and the activities.

Interested parties were invited to participate and actively contribute to the inaugural meeting of the MINEV project, which took place in Malaga from 25 to 27 April, and to report any other good practices.
