The decision to introduce eco-cups at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium in Krakow is a step towards improving the quality of fan service and a care for the ecological system. This solution has been popular at European sports arenas for many years, and now - thanks to the involvement of Socios Wisła Kraków members - it's available in Krakow! The White Star fans were able to use the deposit system of reusable eco-cups, which will also be present during the upcoming matches at R22.

The mandatory directive on single-use plastic products introduced on 1 July 2023, aims to limit the use of the most environmentally polluting products, as well as all products made out of oxo-degradable plastics and fishing gear containing plastics. Single-use plastic products covered by this Directive are estimated to account for around 86% of single-use plastic products found on beaches in the European Union.

Eco-cups ensure safety and drinking comfort. They are completely free of health risks. Replacing disposable cups with reusable, deposit-paid eco-cups will significantly reduce waste production at the stadium. These cups can also serve as unique souvenirs for fans thanks to their collectible designs. Furthermore, their introduction will improve the quality of drinking beverages at games.

The eco-cup system is simple: when purchasing a drink, fans receive a cup for which a refundable deposit is added. Reusable cups have been introduced in all sectors of catering outlets. The deposit cost is PLN 15 (EUR 3.50).

After consumption, fans can either return the cup and get back the deposit or, by waiving the deposit, keep the cup as their property. In this way, fans have the opportunity to complete their collection of eco-cups. The designs on the cups are unique, bringing back Wisła memories. Anyone who already has a Wisła eco-cup at home can bring it to the stadium and exchange it for a new one free of charge when purchasing a drink at a catering point.
