On January 30, 2024, within the framework of the European collaboration project NOTRE - Novel Methods Improving Production Innovation Potential with examples of senior care-related solutions, the second meeting of the Local Stakeholders Group took place in Cluj-Napoca, organized by the North-West Regional Development Agency for the implementation and capitalization of interregional actions to be carried out over a period of four years, simultaneously in 7 countries: Hungary, Finland, France, Spain, Romania, Italy, and Ireland, in an international partnership consisting of 9 partners.

Representatives of clusters, NGOs, universities, SMEs, and public institutions offering health services and products were present.

According to the agenda, the meeting aimed to present the project's progress, the upcoming activities to be carried out in the next semester and to collect ideas from the participants on best practices in relation to initiatives addressed to senior health.

Ioana Pavel, project manager, presented the activities carried out so far as well as the structure of the next activities with a special focus on exchange of experience activities (study visits, staff exchange programme, thematic trainings) for regional ecosystem development.

One important activity carried out in recent months, presented by Raluca Suciu (North-West RDA expert), was focused on developing the working methodology within the consortium and interview questionnaires for regional analysis in three directions: business environment (SMEs), beneficiaries and public authorities.

These interviews will contribute to regional diagnostics and benchmarking between partner regions on the exploitation of digital solutions and innovative products for senior care.

The meeting continued with the presentation of relevant best practices, collected in 2023 from Finland by 2 members of the Local Stakeholders Group, representatives of the Cluj IT Cluster, and the Transylvania IT Cluster. They participated in a study visit organized by the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, during which they explored the innovative policies implemented by the university.

Participants actively engaged in a working session to identify regional best practices that directly contributed to the project's objectives. The session included discussions on challenges and potential solutions for policies related to senior health at both regional and national levels, and also, participants explored relevant regional models that could be adapted for future consideration. The event represented an important opportunity for stakeholders in the North-West Development Region to connect, discuss the progress of the NOTRE project, and identify collaboration opportunities.
