The NOTRE project promoted in Finland on the 30th of May

Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences´ NOTRE-team participated in a local ICT committee meeting. The agenda of the meeting was to receive information about the research- and development activities regarding social and healthcare services and co-operation with companies in Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. On the agenda was also to find out the reasons why SeAMK is the best University of Applied Sciences in Finland third year in a row.  

The meeting started with presentation of the participants who represented widely small IT-companies in the regions but also the IT-professionals from bigger companies. Altogether 23 different companies and organisations were represented.   

NOTRE-project and it´s goals were presented followed by discussion about the conditions and possibilities of cooperation between NOTRE-project and the companies. The representatives of the companies were interested in knowing what NOTRE -project has to offer for the companies when considering development of new products or services in the field of healthy ageing. 

After NOTRE’s share the ICT committee resumed with their meeting’s agenda, including but not limited to other project proposals and requests for cooperation or insight on matters concerning ICT with some of the conversation topics hovering over cyber security. A guide-workbook for developing and managing the digital skills of business professionals by the project DIKO (translated: Developing digital competence in SMEs in South Ostrobothnia) was also presented to the ICT committee. 

The ICT committee is one of the committees of the Southern Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce and it regularly meets four times a year. The committee is made up of entrepreneurs in the ICT sector and since  SeAMk is represented in the committee and participates in its work it gives NOTRE project the opportunity to be in constant contact with regional ICT entrepreneurs.
