Hungary hosts second PROXIMITIES Stakeholder Group Meeting
On November 14th, 2024, the PROXIMITIES team in Veszprém, Hungary, convened its second Local Stakeholder Group (LSG) meeting, building on progress made since the inaugural gathering in June. The meeting served as a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to reconnect, discuss the latest project developments, and introduce the Proximities Landscape Assessment Tool (PLAT) in practice.
Meeting in person proved instrumental in consolidating the project’s updates and welcoming new delegates. Key topics included:
- Progress Updates: The team reviewed the updated Landscape Report, recent peer reviews, and advancements with the PLAT platform.
- PLAT Overview: Dr. Endre Domokos, the PLAT expert, provided a detailed explanation of how the tool supports the assessment of peripheral urban areas, reinforcing its practical application within the project.
The meeting also set the stage for future actions, including the preparation of a study visit and the forthcoming dissemination of a good practices register across the PROXIMITIES consortium.
The Veszprém team, led by Renáta Kiss, remains committed to fostering collaboration and utilising innovative tools to enhance the sustainability and livability of peripheral urban areas.
