PROXIMITIES at #EURegionsWeek 2024!

The PROXIMITIES project was proudly represented by our partner, the South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency (RDA) Romania, at the European Week of Regions and Cities 2024 in Brussels this week. This annual event is a key platform for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration among regions and cities across Europe.

During the event, the South-West Oltenia RDA engaged with participants, sharing insights on the PROXIMITIES project’s goals and achievements. They distributed information materials and engaged in discussions with other regional stakeholders, highlighting our commitment to improving quality of life in peripheral urban areas.

One of the key sessions attended by the South-West Oltenia RDA focused on Functional Urban Areas: how to make multi-level cooperation work. The session explored strategies for fostering collaboration between different levels of government to ensure better access to jobs, improved services, and overall enhanced quality of life within metropolitan areas. These themes align closely with the PROXIMITIES project’s mission to promote sustainable, inclusive development across regions.
