Finland stakeholder group begins identifying Good Practices

The hybrid meeting was arranged on the 24 November 2023 and hosted at the Pellava Conference Centre, managed by the Council of Tampere Region. The following subjects attended the meeting:
The 3-hour meeting was called together to begin work on identifying local and regional Good Practices to share with the rest of the REC4EU community and beyond. The concept of a good practice was clarified, and the group looked at different kinds of examples from the Interreg Europe Good Practice Database. During the project, the Council of Tampere Region team aims to thoroughly define at least 1-2 Good Practices and add them to the Database, to further expand its bountiful selection. The event also provided a chance for the participants to go over recent developments regarding RECs and the current energy market situation. The enthusiastic discussion revolved around the energy market, different technologies for monitoring and estimating energy production and consumption, and the role of regulation in energy projects. The group also discussed the challenges in raising awareness and sharing information for potential energy communities. Several possible Good Practices were identified already, and the discussion continues online and in the next stakeholder meetings. This step in the project plan will run well into 2025, so the work is just getting started. The group also discussed and planned the upcoming study visits to Granada (taking place in Jan 2024) and Pirkanmaa (early summer 2024). The stakeholder group shared ideas for local activities and locations in Pirkanmaa that might interest other REC4EU project partners and their stakeholders. The next meeting of the Pirkanmaa stakeholder group is planned to take place in early April 2024. That meeting will continue the identification of good practices and planning of the interregional study visit to Pirkanmaa later in the spring. |
