The Pirkanmaa Region (FI) had its first stakeholder meeting!

The meeting was attended by our permanent stakeholder group, consisting of representatives from the Council of Tampere Region, several energy companies (Leppäkoski, Lempäälän Energia and Elenia), the university of Tampere, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, the Finnish Real Estate Federation and Kartanon isännöintipalvelut Oy. Another electricity company is also expected to join future meetings.
The stakeholder group is expected to expand by a few more representatives farther in the project.

The meeting was arranged on the 30^th of May 2023 and hosted at the Pellava Conference Center managed by the Council of Tampere Region (Kelloportinkatu 1 B, 33100, Tampere).

The meeting gathered our stakeholders for the purpose of making a SWOT analysis of Pirkanmaa from the viewpoint of renewable energy communities. The upcoming SWOT analysis will have four different aspects: technical, regulatory, economic and social. Thorough identification of both the boons and the barriers of Pirkanmaa is necessary for future advances regarding the theme of our project. The project aims to create regional support to further the birth, activities, networking and communication of energy communities around the region.

The participants got well under-way with the analysis and decided to arrange a continuation meeting in August 2023. The analysis will be finalised before the start of September 2023.
