1st stakeholder seminar of the Municipality of Medvode

Municipality of Medvode organized a meeting with the bigger local businesses of Medvode to present the Repower Industries project and the current energy situation in the municipality. The meeting was attended by the mayor of the municipality of Medvode, Nejc Smole and the main decision makers in the organization, the invitees were the main local business owners in the municipality and the local media. The organisers goal was to present the project, start a debate concerning the problems and possible solutions in the local industries energy management and to present and identify good practices in the local area.

The meeting started with a detailed presentation of the project by the Municipality project manager, Ana Petrovčič, who talked about the general overview of the project, why the need for this project, what are its goal, described the timeline. After the presentation the business representatives talked about their view of the situation, their problems, what might be possible solutions, what are the already established good practices that companies use to be more energy self-sufficient. The debate was moderated by the mayor and the project manager.

The end of the debate was reserved for various topics concerning energy production locally and beyond. The intention of organising this event was to establish new contacts with local businesses, invite all the attendees of the meeting to future events of the Repower Industries project and recognise already existing good practices in the local area.
