1st Local Stakeholder Meeting of LE2C & Lombardy Region
On July 15, 2024, the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster and the Lombardy Region organised the 1st stakeholder meeting to engage participants in the Repower Industries project. The meeting began with LE2C President Riccardo Bellato providing an overview of the Cluster's initiatives and its commitment to environmental and energy sustainability. Cluster Manager Carmen Disanto then offered a detailed presentation on the project’s objectives and its potential opportunities in Italy.
Disanto informed attendees about an upcoming email intended to gather stakeholders’ thematic interests and expressions of interest for interregional activities, emphasizing LE2C's goal to involve both institutions and companies in future events. Elena Colombo discussed the support measures available from the Lombardy Region to local authorities and industries, highlighting the importance of the Regional Energy Environment and Climate Programme (PREAC) in fostering energy transition. She noted the significant funding available, including over 400 million EUR from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to support energy communities and renewable energy sources while addressing regulatory challenges and the need for streamlined authorization processes.
The meeting concluded with a roundtable discussion where participants shared their experiences and interests, reinforcing the collaborative commitment among institutions to promote sustainability and highlighting the integral role of the Repower Industries project in achieving a sustainable energy future.
