Project summary
A group of policy responsible partners covering all four programme areas is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative to revolutionize health diagnostics and personalised medicine through enhanced collaboration, 7 site visits and cutting-edge technology. This ambitious project addresses the critical need for a more efficient healthcare system.
Issue Addressed
With the rising demand for innovative diagnostics, personalised medicine, and digital health solutions, there is an urgent need to streamline the value chain and foster collaboration among key stakeholders. This project aims to tackle these challenges by creating a robust research and innovation ecosystem that accelerates the development and implementation of smart health technologies.
Partnership
The project brings together a dynamic partnership of government bodies, industry leaders, and top-tier knowledge institutions from 8 regions and 8 countries. The collaboration includes 7 regular partners, 1 advisory partner and 1 discovery partner. Each partner has its own group of stakeholders. Three partners are also joined by an APA. By pooling their expertise and resources, these partners will drive forward innovation in areas such as e-health applications, evidence-based sensing, and disease detection.
Overall Objective
The objective of this initiative is to foster an open-innovation system that delivers commercially viable health innovations with global impact. The project will leverage European funding programs, such as the ERDF, to finance R&D projects, establish state-of-the-art infrastructure, and support innovation clusters. By doing so, the partners aim to create smart health devices and applications, including wearable technology, medical sensors, telemedicine solutions, and health apps.
Through this collaborative effort, the consortium under the leadership of Sachsen-Anhalt, horizontally supported by Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, is poised to set a new standard in healthcare innovation.
