3rd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting - Maramureș, Romania

On Friday, August 30, representatives of 11 stakeholders involved in the SIRM project participated in the 3rd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting organized in Maramureș County.

The meeting’s agenda included the presentation of the SIRM project’s progress and a summary of best practices shared by project partners during the transnational meeting in Brindisi, Italy. Discussions also covered an outline of specific needs and challenges identified in carrying out activities in support of refugees and migrants in Maramureș County.

The meeting opened with the presentation of best practices shared during the 3rd Transnational Learning Meeting, which took place in Brindisi, Italy. These best practices were brought to the attention of stakeholders from Maramureș County.

Participants further discussed the challenges they face and the needs identified for properly conducting activities dedicated to refugees and migrants. The goal is to formalize long-term cooperation on this issue and initiate financial support programs for organizations involved in refugee and migrant aid activities.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to forward the challenges and needs identified in supporting refugees and migrants.
