3rd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting (Poland)
On 18.07.2024, 3rd Regional Stakeholder Group Meeting took place in Rzeszow (Poland). The aim of the meeting was to present the good practices shared by the project partners during the partners' meeting and study visit that took place in Brindisi and Bari, Italy, on 5-6 June 2024. The main theme was adaptation and assimilation programmes and counteracting social isolation of migrants, including: counselling, psychological, linguistic, cultural, educational and social support.
After welcoming the participants, a representative of the organiser presented the SIRM project, its aims, objectives and future results, followed by a presentation of individual good practices. Participants had the opportunity to learn about activities from Ireland, Latvia and Romania. Most time was devoted to the situation in Italy, where the NOK system is in place. In addition, the project coordinator from ROPS presented the migration situation and the changing regulations for migrants in Italy.
The meeting was enriched by a presentation by a representative of the Voivodeship Labour Office in Rzeszów of a new project entitled ‘Podkarpackie Integration Centre for Foreigners II’, which is a continuation of the project implemented so far. In addition, a representative of the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency presented the ongoing BSI_4Women project as a Baltic initiative for the development of economic activity of refugee women.
