World Refugee Day
On 20 June 2024, we celebrated World Refugee Day. It is an occasion to celebrate the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their homes for fear of armed conflict or persecution.
It is a holiday celebrated every year, first celebrated in 2001 in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Refugee Convention of 28 July 1951.
Each year, World Refugee Day is celebrated in many countries around the world with various events in support of refugees.
