Project officially launched !
Eight Partners from six regions met for the first time to jointly kick off the SMART CON EUROPE project. The event was organized by Pomerania Development Agency Co. in Gdańsk on 4 - 6 June 2024.
The project aims to increase the interest and participation of SMEs in international programmes such as Horizon Europe and Interreg.
4th of June
The first day was dedicated to presentations of the regions and their entrepreneurial support ecosystems. Project manager Monika Dmitrzak, from Pomerania Development Agency Co., and Hans-Christian Jäger discussed the project's goals, approach, and timeline.
Workshops at 5th of June
The second day had a workshop character. The partners responsible for the first two work packages of the project moderated the discussion. Into Seinäjoki Ltd. responsible for the ‘Joint analysis of characteristics of ecosystem’ (JACE), which is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the ecosystem in general and to learn more about the specific support mechanisms for entrepreneurs in the regions involved. JACE is directly linked to another work package: Peer Reviews (PR) conducted by University of Western Macedonia. First PRs will take place on our next interregional learning event scheduled on September 2024 in Seinäjoki- Finland, where the hosts and the Pomorskie Voivodeship will present their ecosystems in details. Finally Sylwia Bryla and Agnieszka Skroban-Kryskiewicz, from Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, presented the publicity requirements and project main visual.
Workshops at 6th of June
During the last day, the conference achivements were summarised and further development of the JACE and PR concept was discussed with the corresponding partners and the leader.
The conference laid the foundation for a successful collaboration, partners representing different levels of experience can learn from each other to improve their ecosystems.
The next meeting will be organized in Seinäjoki (Finland) in September 2024.
