Starting to shape the future of talent retention in Romania

The meeting, focused on talent attraction and retention in the region, was led by Mrs. Claudia Frățilă, Technical Expert at ADR Nord-Vest and Project Coordinator of TALENT4S3. In her opening presentation, she emphasized the project’s key objectives, particularly the development of strategies to attract and retain talent to support smart specialization in the region.

After the introduction, members of the regional working group shared insights into their daily activities, expertise, and ongoing projects, highlighting the challenges related to human resource management and the difficulties in attracting and retaining talent. These discussions opened the door to a collaborative exchange of ideas, where group members explored solutions tailored to the unique needs of their organizations.

Key challenges, such as talent retention, human resource management, and underfunding in research, were openly addressed, and practical solutions were proposed, including the continuation of best practices and inter-regional exchange opportunities. As the project moves forward, collaboration between organizations remains essential for achieving the shared goal of improving talent management in the region.
