Project summary
TenConnecT is an interregional cooperation project focused on maximizing the benefits and minimizing the negative impacts of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) for participating regions. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among diverse partners, including the University of Aveiro, Centro Regional Coordination and Development Commission, International Association of Regional Development Institutions, Institute of Traffic and Transport Ljubljana, Lamoro Development Agency, Municipality of Alba, Riga Planning Region, and UCD Dublin (as an advisory partner), TenConnecT empowers regional stakeholders to proactively shape policies and strategies related to the TEN-T network revision.
The project's key objectives include promoting sustainable and efficient transport, prioritizing user-centric mobility and infrastructure, fostering inclusive governance and economic development, and enhancing regional and urban mobility through enhanced interconnectivity with the TEN-T network.
Through the exchange of experiences, good practices, and exploring innovative solutions, TenConnecT strengthens regions with the tools and knowledge to advocate for their specific needs and priorities. The project's vision is to enhance regional policies, fostering seamless integration of under-connected regions into the TEN-T while promoting sustainable transportation and economic development.
