Inaugural TIB Project Local Stakeholders Meeting in Krakow

In a significant stride towards fostering collaboration and enhancing tourism initiatives, the inaugural stakeholders meeting for the Transnational Innovation Boost (TIB) project was held on August 18, 2023, at the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Krakow. The meeting brought together a diverse group of key players in the Krakow tourism sector, totaling 29 attendees, with representatives from various organizations and associations.

The attendees comprised the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Krakow, Kraków Local Tourist Organization, Kraków Convention Bureau, KBF - Kraków Festival Office, Kraków Chamber of Tourism, Chamber of Commerce RHPLUS – representing the gastronomy sector, Federation of Kraków Tourist Guide Associations, Polish Chamber of Tourism (Malopolska Department), and the Krakow Metropolis Association. This impressive coalition reflects the comprehensive engagement of various stakeholders, including government bodies, cultural organizations, business associations, and local communities, showcasing a united effort to contribute to the success of the TIB project.

The primary goal of this gathering was to acquaint the stakeholders with the TIB project and establish a foundational understanding among participants. Martyna Lewandowska, the project manager, took the lead in presenting crucial information about the TIB project, covering aspects such as project partners, goals, policy instruments, budgeting, and the upcoming schedule of events. Emphasis was also placed on the role of stakeholders, highlighting their responsibilities in contributing to successful practices, sharing lessons learned, and promoting project activities on various platforms, including social media.

The meeting featured a detailed presentation by Krakow's Department of Tourism Chief Specialist, Martyna Lewandowska, providing insights into the experiences gained during the kick-off meeting and the first project seminar held in Breda and Amsterdam. This exchange of information aimed to enhance the understanding of the project's objectives and facilitate a smoother collaboration among the stakeholders.

The session concluded with a brief but insightful discussion, allowing participants to express their thoughts and expectations for the project. The positive energy and engagement observed during the meeting bode well for the success of the TIB project in Krakow.

As the TIB project gains momentum, this collaborative effort promises to bring innovative solutions to the tourism sector in Krakow, setting the stage for future successes and establishing the city as a hub for transnational innovation in tourism.
